The Carboflex 125 S is a 125g, lightweight racket that boasts a 14×18 string pattern and a Graphite/Basaltex Multiaxial composition. The balance is to the handle at 355mm, and the head size is rather large at 500 sq.cm. / 77.5 sq.in.

Best used with Tecnifibre SPL 305+ 17 gauge 1.2mm Squash strings, this pro racket is a stunning innovation by Tecnifibre. While it is pretty much identical to the previous model, the Tecnifibre Carboflex 125, it has even better cosmetics and a detachable bumper guard if you wish to take a little weight out of the head. Note ahead of time that you can only remove the bumper guard if you restring it through.

As far as gameplay, this new Carboflex 125 S makes the sweet spot easier to find, offers better control (especially on the backhand side), and feels great during a drop shot when cutting the ball. Overall, the pros can’t be wrong. This 125 S is a must-have for squash players looking to step up and start playing like a pro!

Price

Depending on where you purchase, you can find the 125 S on Amazon for around $160, while retailers such as SquashGear.com are offering it for around $189.

2. Tecnifibre Suprem 130

This beauty is one of the best in the Suprem selection by Tecnifibre. This model made the list over the 125 because the 125 isn’t that great. As a player, you feel a lot of vibration and can’t get a great feel on your shots. The 130, on the other hand, handles much better and players such as Alister Walker uses it in tournament.

The Suprem 130 is a great racket to play with. It’s light at 130 grams and just a tiny bit head light, but feels like an even balance. The feel of the ball with this racket is excellent. When in hand, it’s solid and stable without feeling heavy.

The Suprem 130 encourages smooth swings and solid contact, but if you are a player who spends a lot of time taking wristy shots and quick jabs, you may not be as satisfied. Nonetheless, this is definitely a “control” racket for a great power game. With this in hand, you can play like a pro.

Price

You can purchase the Tecnifibre Suprem 130 on Holabirdsports.com and SquashGear.com for $169.

3. Tecnifibre Dynergy AP 125

Designed in collaboration with Squash player Miguel Angel Rodriguez, the Tecnifibre Dynergy AP 125 is an unusual racket, both in shape and features. If you’re looking for something different, you’ve found it.

Complete with arch power (AP) and Jumbo Shaft technology, this 125 g racket is apart of the Tecnifibre Dynergy AP range of squash rackets, which released in April of 2016.

With a new frame shape featuring a “power ring” setup, this may be reminiscent of some Prince rackets out there. Overall, this fresh style is great for pro play, as it is the lightest in the AP series.

Not only is it sleek in color and design, but the handling is excellent. The racket is powerful, controllable, and barely transfers any vibration. The amount of power cannot be overstated in this model — even with minimal effort. The frame is thick and chunky, and while this may take some getting used to, in the long run, this racket’s pros outweigh any cons.

5. Tecnifibre Dynergy 117 Flexarm

Maximum power and minimum weight best explains the Tecnifibre Dynergy 117 Flexarm. With a weight 8 grams lighter than your typical 125 g racket, this Graphite / Blackweave composite squash racket is a great choice for power players.

tecnifibre-dynergy-117-flexarm

Quick Look at the Specs:

  • Weight: Light (117 g)
  • Balance: Even, 360 +/- 5 mm
  • Head Size: Medium (490 cm sq)
  • Construction: Graphite & Flexarm
  • Grip: Ventilated, Tec Dry Squash
  • String Pattern: 14 x 18
  • String: Black, Tecnifibre 305+
  • Previous Model: Tecnifibre Dynergy Tour 125 Kickstep

The Dynergy 117 Flexarm offers brilliant power and excellent control in the hands of a pro. Using its Flexarm Technology, the 3D shaft structure provides improved Flex by 10%, increasing power and higher durability.

One of the best parts of this special racket is the sweet spot is HUGE. It also feels very powerful and you can really whack the ball with it. It takes some getting used to, however. The amount of power on the spectrum can come at the cost of control if you are not careful. Some users have had difficulties getting their drives to really stick to the wall and move the ball around precisely. With some practice, this extra light racket can be one of the better ones you’ll get your hands on.

Price

This 117 Flexarm can be bought on both Amazon.com and SquashGear.com for only $127.89. $50 off of retail value, this is a steal.

Conclusion

In the end, when choosing a Tecnifibre racket, remember the following:

For more power, consider a Dynergy racket; for less vibration, choose a Carboflex; and for more control, try out the Suprem series.
